Inspection:
The Export Promotion and Quality Assurance Division of the Textiles Committee is the First Accredited Independent Third-party Inspection Body in India under ISO 17020 (Type "A" Inspection Body). ISO 17020 standard specifies general criteria for the competence of impartial bodies performing the inspection. It also specifies independent criteria of inspection bodies. Implementation of this standard gives international recognition to the organization in relation to the inspection activity.
Textiles Committee has more than five decades of experience in carrying out inspections of textiles and clothing. The quality inspection schemes for Yarn, Woven textile fabrics, Made-ups articles and Ready-made Garments have been developed on the basis of requirements in national and international standards by way of defining the flaws, sampling plan, inspection methodology, acceptance criteria, sealing, stamping, etc. These schemes aim at providing the textile trade and industry a customer-friendly third party inspection of their products. The interested textiles manufacturers/exporters/importers/traders/buyers and procurement agencies (both government & private) can avail the inspection services from Textiles Committee.

Scope of Inspection:
- Sampling plan as per ISO-2859-1:1999(E) or as per clients requirements.
- General appearance.
- Comparison with approved sample for colour, shade, finish etc.
- Inspection of sub-packages for make-up, weight and defects.
- Re-winding test.
- Inspection of packaging and marking requirements.
- Drawing of sample for laboratory testing.
- Any other specific requirements of the clients.
Lot Size: 22,000 kg (Maximum)

Woven fabrics
Scope of Inspection:
- Sampling plan as per ISO-2859-1:1999(E) or as per clients requirements.
- General appearance and specification parameters such as length, width, ends per inch, picks per inch, GSM etc.
- Comparison with the approved sample for colour, shade, design, weave, finish, etc.
- Reckoning of fabric defects based on 4-Point system/10-Point system/flaw grading system or as specified by the client.
- Inspection of packaging and marking requirements.
- Drawing of sample for laboratory testing (optional).
- Any other specific requirements of the clients.
Lot Size: 25,000 meters (Maximum)

- Inspection for defects related to fabric, fabrication, embroidery, etc.
- Drawing of sample for laboratory testing (optional).
- Inspection of packaging and marking requirements.
- Any other specific requirements of the clients.
