The Compendium of International Textile Statistics-2005, is the fourth in the series of Compendium of International Textile Statistics. This current issue covers international textiles data upto year ended 2003. The statistics in this publication have been compiled by collecting data from various reputed international organisations/publications, viz. WTO, ITMF, ICAC,etc. and Textile Outlook international, Indian Jute, Man-Made Fibre Statistics, Hand-Book of Statistics on Man-Made/Synthetic Fibre/Yarn Industry, etc. With the coming up of WTO regime and globalization of economy and trade the international data on textile has assumed considerable importance and this publication is an attempt in that direction to provide at one place the international data on critical aspects of the industry and trade.
